Yes! I can come to you or you can come to my home. I can travel to your home, Wedding Venue or if you are staying at a Hotel or B&B I can come to you there as well. Some of the areas I travel frequently to are Paisley, Renfrew, Johnstone, Linwood, Erskine, Glasgow, but cover all of Scotland and further afield.
Sometimes I require travel expenses, this is usually for when I am travelling to a venue 10+ miles from my location, but this will vary so if you are unsure then please get in touch with me so we can have a chat!
Once you have picked your date, time and services required, I will need to confirm your appointment with you. In order for me to do this I have to secure a £10 deposit from you per appointment. This ensures that I keep the space free in my diary but also that I know you are sure you would like to go ahead with your appointment.
If you decide you no longer require an appointment, and you give at least 24 hours notice, I will refund your deposit back to you as you will have upheld your agreement to my cancellation policy.
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment I am very understanding and will do my best to assist you with this. However, if you do not give at least 24 hours notice prior to the cancellation / rechedule then your deposit will be non-refundable and the total amount will be made payable. If you do not pay the amount that was due for your appointment slot, you will not be able to book with me again until this has been paid.
I do understand that sometimes things happen in life that are completely out of our control and it sometimes is not possible to attend an appointment, but this is my livelihood and my bills do not stop when someone doesn’t show up for their appointment. in certain circumstances I will not ask for the full bill to be paid, but the deposit will still be kept as I have cleared that slot in my diary and now have no other means of income for that time slot.
I am a free-lance Makeup Artist so I am available Mon-Sun, with the exception of the odd holiday here and there, and can usually find time to squeeze clients in at the last minute. For bigger projects, weddings etc I do tend to book quite far in advance and do recommend that my clients get in touch with me as soon as possible to confirm their appointments as I regularly take bookings as far as 2 years in advance sometimes further!
My prices are a true reflection of my quality of work and show how hard I have worked to be where I am in my career. All makeup artists have their own individual prices, style of work and personality. With that being said I feel that at the moment there is a massive market and demand for Make-Up Artists and just because someone has a difference price list does not mean they are better or worse than another artist.
I am confident in my work and I feel that this shows in the finished looks I create. My ability to adapt my style to suit the client is a great asset and I feel this opens me up to more clientele as I am able to cover such a broad spectrum of makeup looks.
I studied at West College Scotland, Paisley Campus for 3 years. My first year at college I studied NC Level 6 Beauty Therapy, during this year I realised I did NOT want to be a Beauty Therapist, that I wanted to be a Makeup Artist instead! When I completed my Beauty course I moved on to HNC Fashion Make-Up, which I passed and graduated with an A. For my third and final year at college I studied HND Make-Up Artistry, completing this course with a grade A.
It’s not a necessity to have a trial before your wedding, but I do highly recommend it!
It is such an important day with a lot of stress and worry involved in the preparation. On the day of your wedding you want everything to run as smooth as possible, with as little stress as possible. Having a trial before your big day helps to alleviate some of that worry, as you will get the opportunity to tell me what you like and don’t like, we will try out a few styles and if necessary make some changes or adaptations until you are happy with the finished look. My biggest concern is making you happy and feeling gorgeous at your trial so when it comes to the wedding day you are as calm and confident as you should be!
